A while ago I wrote a post about CERN's LHC (Large Hadron Collider) and how some people believe that mucking about with black holes might be a bit dangerous. You can see their point. However, today CERN flicked the on switch and we're still here so it's all good so far.
To mark the occasion Google had one of their themed logos up on their homepage today. But what's interesting is that the actual Google logo seems to be getting sucked into the LHC as if Google too believe that some catastrophic black hole event is going to destroy us all.
That's reasurring. I wonder if they turned down a design of Earth trying to kiss its anus goodbye.
