If like me you watched the Olympic opening ceremony, you no doubt would have been impressed with the sheer scale of the event and the meticulous planning that must have been involved. There was one bit where giant firework footprints lit up the sky from Tiananmen Square to the Bird's Nest National Stadium. It was rather impressive. But then that's probably because it was completely fake. Apparently we were watching a computer animation.
